Year 2018 – 2020

PK Media is an Ambassador for Tropical Sun Foods in the UK.

During our time with Tropical Sun Foods, we have facilitated a wide range of promotional events and outreach, including sponsoring the Jamaica-UK Rugby 7s team, radio air time and much more.

At Tropical Sun, the live by motto is: ‘Variety is the spice of life’.

Their journey started in 1996 when they began importing a few specialist ingredients and daily essentials for the UK’s thriving ethnic communities. As word spread, Tropical Sun began receiving requests for specific items from homelands far-afield: Spices, oils, drinks and snacks that helped people stay connected to their cultures. Tropical Sun love that food helps to bring people together!

Tropical Sun partners with the Jamaica-UK Rugby 7s!

Tropical Sun Foods is proud to announce its partnership with the Jamaica-UK Rugby Sevens Team!

As part of the Jamaican National Sevens Team, the Jamaica-UK players are hoping to become the first ever Caribbean rugby team to qualify for the Olympics, which take place in Tokyo in 2020.

The Jamaica-UK Squad are made up of UK-based Jamaican heritage players, and alongside their Jamaica-based teammates, they are on a mission that transcends even their Olympic aspirations: bringing the joys of rugby to the people of Jamaica.

Renowned as the world’s best sprinters, Jamaica has an abundance of fast and strong athletes that would make world-beating rugby players, but historically, the Caribbean island has not paid much attention to rugby, but thanks to the Crocs, that may all be about to change.

Of the partnership with Tropical Sun, Team Manager Hughton Campbell said: “As a mostly self-funded team, we’re incredibly happy that Tropical Sun have stepped in to support the Jamaica-UK Rugby Sevens, not only with vital funding, but with access to their foods and drinks for fantastic nutrition.”
